Source: The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Ukraine

The Ukraine Ministry of Foreign Affairs has developed an AI avatar named ‘Victoria Shi’. Victoria will convey pre-prepared official statements solely through her AI-generated visual avatar. Notably, to counter deepfakes, each of Victoria’s statements will feature a unique QR code linking to the official text version on the ministry’s website. While currently limited to visual representation, one can envision a future where an AI trained in regulations and foreign policy could undertake even more substantial roles in governmental communication and tasks.

OpenAI Introduces Model Spec, a Document of How AI Models Should Behave.

The way AI models respond to user input, including tone, personality, and response length, is crucial for human-AI interaction. Shaping model behavior is a developing field, as models learn from diverse data rather than explicit programming.

OpenAI has released a preliminary version of the Model Spec, a document outlining their strategy for shaping desired AI model behavior and managing conflicts. It combines existing OpenAI documentation with ongoing research and expert input, aiming to guide future model development.

The document covers objectives, rules, and default behaviors to ensure safety, legality, and alignment with OpenAI’s mission. It will serve as a guide for researchers and trainers, with plans to incorporate public feedback and engage stakeholders globally in ongoing discussions. Updates and responses to feedback will be provided over the coming year.
