The UXL Foundation is working on creating an open-source software suite. Its goal is to ensure that AI developers aren’t restricted to Nvidia’s proprietary technology, enabling them to run their code on any machine and with any chip.

The project incorporates Intel’s OneAPI open standard, eliminating the necessity for specific coding languages, code bases, and tools that bind developers to particular architectures such as Nvidia’s CUDA platform.
