Word Choice Matters for The AI Assistant That Learned to Say ‘Hi’
One of our clients said their chatbot felt “cold.”
Not broken. Not incorrect. Just… distant.
So we ran a test.
We changed the greeting from
“How may I assist you today?”
to
“Hi! 👋 How can I help?”
That tiny tweak by adding one emoji, one less formal phrase can boosted engagement by 11%.
Same intent.
Different emotional signal.
